Why is this study being conducted?

We are assessing the effect of a brief mindfulness exercise on nurses’ resilience during the time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Who is conducting the study?

Barbara Demman, MS, APRN, CNS and Carol Pavlish, PhD, RN

Who is eligible to participate?

  • All RNs who work in a setting that includes or could potentially include contact with Covid-19 patients.
  • RNs who are not currently participating in another mindfulness study

What will I do if I choose to participate?

  1. Complete a short, 3-minute survey along with some general demographic questions on Qualtrics, an anonymous, secure website before clicking on the Mindfulness exercise link.  No personal information can be identified. 
  2. Click on the link to the Mindfulness exercise (see below).
  3. Practice the 10-minute Mindfulness Exercise at least 3 times/week for 3 weeks.
  4. Respond to the same brief survey with demographic questions after week #1 and week #3.

Your participation ends at this point; access to the Mindfulness exercise can continue.

Who decides?

Participation in the study is entirely voluntary. Clicking on the survey link indicates your agreement to participate. You can withdraw at any time from this study.
