Thomas Phillips has over a decade of experience in the facilitation of medical simulation training – ranging from basic medical skills training to advanced trauma scenarios. A U.S. Army veteran combat medic, Phillips has supported off-site training to units during military field exercises and at Madigan Army Medical Center. He has also worked with the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) in combined training activities to address transfer of care of wounded soldiers across echelons of care. Some of Phillips' daily duties at the UCLA School of Nursing include making sure students have a safe learning environment conducive to learning and experience training sessions as close as possible to real clinical situations. Phillips also assists with managing inventory, ensuring the correct ordering of supplies as well as the maintenance and replacement of operational equipment.
