Each May, we come together to celebrate National Nurses Month – a time to recognize, reflect, and thank the nurses who are at the heart of health care.

This year, we honor the extraordinary compassion, excellence, and commitment of nurses locally and globally. From the bench to the bedside, in classrooms, hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and communities, nurses are driving innovation, advocating for patients, and shaping the future of health care. At the UCLA Joe C. Wen School of Nursing, we are proud to educate and support the next generation of Bruin Nurses who will continue a legacy of innovation, leadership, and excellence.

Thank you, nurses.

Janet Boydstun, RNC-OB, MN | MSN ‘83

"Being a Bruin nurse means carrying forward the excellence, compassion, and foundation I was so lucky to receive at UCLA. I loved my time there, and earning my Master's in Maternity Nursing in 1983 inspired a lifelong commitment to caring for women and families with both skill and heart."

It is the intersection of patient care, leadership, and compassion aimed at helping patients while creating real, tangible change in healthcare."
