 Health Clearance Guidelines

1. Students are required to meet the health clearances as required by the School of Nursing-all immunizations and related health documents should be up to date

2. Students should plan on meeting with a preferred travel health provider at least 2 months prior to travel. 

3. Only students meeting the required health activities and health clearances will be allowed to participate in the travel experiences. Students may select from:

  • A primary care provider, travel medical/nursing specialist, Nurse Practitioner, other provider of their choice

  • UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center Travel Clinic

 4.  Students may access travel related health information, immunizations and other health related information specific for your travel from various sources, including:

UCLA Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center

Centers for Disease Control, Traveler's Health Site


 Students are required to preview two international health videos listed below

  • Register to view the quizzes; you will be asked to provide the name of a program faculty for record keeping (free)
  • Take the quiz at the end of viewing the videos-you must earn a passing score

  • After viewing the quizzes (2), students and the program faculty will receive confirmation of passing-this may take 2-4 weeks, so please plan accordingly (do not wait to take the quizzes)
