UCLA’s School of Nursing (SON) welcomes international visitors to apply to our educational programs for undergraduate & graduate students, professional nurses and groups. UCLA’s SON international programs are not degree or credit based. Upon completion of a program, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded. Program fees will apply.*

Visiting international professors/scholars with an academic appointment at his/her home institution
Priority consideration will be given to applicants whose stated objectives most closely match the School’s mission to promote international research collaborations.
Visiting Graduate Researchers (VGRs) and Postdoctoral fellows
Priority will be given to those VGRs who most closely match with a faculty’s area of research and must be accepted by the faculty member for a VGR.
International VGRs and Postdoctoral fellows may apply for a 3 week to 24 month appointment. For more information on fees and application instructions, please visit the following portal before submitting your application.
Visiting international undergraduate students
International undergraduate nursing students who have financial support from his/her home institution or government may participate in a variety of onsite learning experiences including classroom observation and local tours of hospitals and clinics. These opportunities are based on the availability of a faculty mentor.
Visiting international groups
UCLA’s SON hosts groups of 2 or more visitors throughout the year. Priority acceptance will be given to groups with a memorandum of understanding.
