Join UCSF School of Nursing for a special event on June 10.

  • What: 41st Helen Nahm Research Lecture with award recipient and alumna MarySue Heilemann, PhD, RN, FAAN
  • When: Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1 p.m
  • How to Attend: This event will be available in person in N-225 on the Parnassus campus and via live stream (without two-way interaction). An outdoor reception will follow immediately after the lecture.

Alumna MarySue Heilemann is recipient of the 2022 Helen Nahm Research Lecture Award in honor of her outstanding contributions to nursing science and research. Her talk is titled "From Methodology to Action: An Interdisciplinary Journey to Improve Latinas’ Mental Health Using Evidence-Informed Transmedia Storytelling."

Dr. Heilemann earned her PhD from UCSF School of Nursing in 1996 and was a postdoctoral fellow at the university from 1997 to 1998. She is a professor at the UCLA School of Nursing and associate program director of the UCLA National Clinical Scholars Program. In addition, she is an affiliate faculty with the UCLA Center for the Study of Racism, Social Justice and Health.

The event will take place at UCSF Parnassus Heights campus, and public parking is available across the street from the School of Nursing at the Millberry Union Garage, 500 Parnassus Avenue, info here.
