Dean Lin Zhan appointed to serve on the Academy’s International Fellow Selection Committee
The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) has announced the appointment of Dean Lin Zhan, PhD, RN, FAAN, as Advisor to the International Fellow Selection Committee for 2025-2027.
As Advisor, Dr. Zhan will serve as the liaison between the International Selection Committee and the Fellow Selection Committee’s Chair and Co-Chair. The subcommittee plays a critical role in reviewing applications from candidates outside the United States and recommending qualified individuals for induction into the Academy.
The appointment reflects AAN’s confidence in Dr. Zhan’s ability to uphold its mission and vision while ensuring a fair and rigorous selection process. Her responsibilities will include guiding committee operations, participating in orientation and unconscious bias training, and collaborating with Academy leadership to maintain a smooth selection cycle.
Dr. Zhan has been a Fellow of AAN since 2001 and has served on the Academy’s expert panel on aging and global health, the fellow selection committee, and in other roles on the international selection committee. This latest appointment highlights Dr. Zhan’s ongoing contributions to nursing and her dedication to fostering international engagement within the profession.
