The year 2020 has been declared "Year of the Nurse" by the World Health Organization. In anticipation of this special year, we are creating limited edition calendars to celebrate nursing. Read below for instructions on how to obtain a calendar.
1. How does it work?
Send in a photo that represents the nursing profession or you in action (please comply with HIPAA) along with a gift of any amount. Your photo will be entered into the photo contest. Photos will be selected by a committee of UCLA School of Nursing students, faculty, and staff. Twelve winners will be chosen, one winner for each month of 2020. Additional photos may be selected for use on the School’s social media pages.
2. Where can I send in my photo? When will I be notified if my photo was selected?
Photo Contest and photo submissions are open November 1 and the contest ends December 7. Files sizes must be 300dpi and emailed at actual size to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond with additional transfer requirements if necessary. All photos will be selected and winners notified by December 7.
3. When will my 2020 Calendar arrive in the mail?
All who make a gift will receive a calendar regardless of photo submission. We will ship out calendars at the end of the year. You should receive your limited edition calendar by the third week of January!
4. What is the Innovation Fund?
Gifts to the Innovation Fund provide immediate resources for the School to use for our most urgent priorities, such as the enhancement of student life, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, faculty research, the Simulation Laboratory, and other critical needs.
5. Why should I make a gift?
We need your help! The UCLA School of Nursing continues to be among the top nursing programs in the country. While the UCLA School of Nursing faces budgetary constraints due to minimal state support to higher education, we continue to excel and provide financial aid for over 70% of our nursing students. California and the nation are desperate for highly skilled bedside nurses, advanced practice nurses, nursing faculty, and nursing leaders.
P.S. The Centennial Campaign for UCLA officially ends on December 31, 2019. Your gift brings us closer to our goal – give today to make it count!
