Bonnie Faherty

Bonnie Faherty, M.N. ‘75, M.P.H. ‘76, M.P.A., Ph.D.

Dr. Bonnie Faherty has worked in the nursing profession for more than 40 years. She has advanced degrees in nursing, public health, and public administration from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California. She also has a certificate in gerontology from UCLA.

Dr. Faherty is board certified by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Medical Surgical Nursing, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and in Ambulatory Nursing. In addition to her extensive clinical experience in diverse areas of nursing, she has served on the faculty of Santa Monica College, UCLA, and is an Emeriti faculty member at California State University, Northridge. She has many print and CD publications, and has presented at numerous local, national, and international conferences for professional and lay audiences. Dr. Faherty, ‘75, MPH ‘76 and her husband Ed Feldman, ’63, JD ’66, are alum supporters of UCLA.

In 2011, they were both honored with the “Volunteer Advocate of the Year” award as members of Bruin Caucus.
