WHY SUPPORT UCLA NURSING?
| Did you know... |
| ...your support is an investment in the future of the UCLA School of Nursing? |
While the UCLA School of Nursing faces budgetary constraints, California and the nation are desperate for highly skilled bedside nurses as well as advanced practice nurses, nursing faculty, and health policy leaders. It's estimated that California alone will need 109,600 new nurses by 2010 (California Employment Development Department). California ranks #49 out of the 50 states for registered nurse per population ratio; only Nevada is lower. Even though the school is affected by greater challenges than ever, it continues to be in the top ten nursing programs in the country (US News and World Report) and ranked among the top 10 in NIH research funding.
The UCLA School of Nursing has been in the forefront of nursing education since its inception in 1949. The School understands the urgency and the need for better qualified nursing professionals at all levels of practice. Your generous support will enable us to address these critical issues, to increase financial scholarships to students of nursing, and to support the faculty and staff who are working hard to educate our future nurses.
Our success is a team effort, and is only possible with your continuous support. Just as our community depends on the UCLA School of Nursing to educate the best nursing professionals at the bedside, as well as advanced practice nurses, our school depends on you for the critical and necessary private resources that allow us to build on our legacy of exceptional nursing education.
Invest in the UCLA School of Nursing today!
